🎯 How It Works

  1. Set Your Timer: Before checking in, choose how long you'll be at the showing (5-180 minutes, default: 30 minutes)
  2. Check In: Press "Check In" when you arrive at the property
  3. Timer Runs: The timer counts down and CANNOT be changed once started
  4. Check Out Safely: Press "Check Out" when you leave - your emergency contacts will receive an automatic "All Clear" email confirmation
  5. Auto-Alert: If timer reaches zero without checkout, emergency contacts are automatically notified via email, and you'll see SMS buttons to text them

⚠️ Important: Set a realistic time estimate. You cannot extend the timer once check-in starts.

Your emergency contacts receive professional email alerts automatically from our servers:

  • Safe Check-Out Email: Sent when you check out safely - confirms you're okay with location and time
  • Emergency Alert Email: Sent if timer expires - includes your exact location, map link, phone number, and action instructions

How SMS Works:

  1. You'll see a list of your contacts with "Send SMS" buttons
  2. Tap the button for each contact
  3. Your phone's SMS app opens with the message pre-filled
  4. Tap "Send" to deliver the text message
  5. Repeat for each contact

Unlike emails, SMS requires your phone to be functional. If your phone dies, emails still send but SMS will need to be sent once phone powers back on.

⚡ Primary Contacts

Receive alerts immediately when timer expires or SOS is triggered. Their SMS buttons appear first. Best for: spouse, partner, office manager, or close family.

⏱️ Secondary Contacts

Their SMS buttons appear after 30 seconds. Use for backup contacts who should only be notified if primary contacts don't respond immediately. Emails still sent immediately to all contacts.

⚖️ Consent Required: You must have permission from each contact before adding them. By adding a contact, you confirm they have consented to receive emergency alerts via email and SMS.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions

Why do I need to send SMS manually?

Manual SMS ensures 100% delivery reliability and avoids carrier restrictions on automated texts. You're in complete control, and there are no monthly SMS costs!

What if I don't have cell signal?

Emails will still send automatically from our servers - they don't need your phone to have signal! SMS messages will need to wait until you have signal. Always check your signal before entering properties in remote areas.

Will alerts send if my phone dies?

Yes! Once a check-in is started, the timer runs on our secure cloud servers (not your phone). Emails will automatically send when the timer expires, regardless of your phone's status. SMS will need to be sent manually once your phone powers back on.

Does shake detection work with screen off?

No. Shake detection requires the screen to be on and the app to be active. However, when you check in, the screen automatically stays on for the entire showing, so shake detection remains active throughout your visit.

Why should I keep a check-in history?

Check-in history provides legal protection, insurance documentation, and broker compliance proof. If an incident occurs at a property, having timestamped records with GPS coordinates can be crucial for liability protection. Many insurance companies also offer discounts for documented safety protocols.

How do I export my history?

Pro users can export from the History screen. Tap the export button and choose CSV (for Excel) or PDF (for professional reports). Exports include all check-in details: dates, locations, durations, and emergency alerts.

Can I extend my timer?

Not currently. Set a realistic time estimate with buffer. If you need more time, check out and start a new check-in.

How accurate is the GPS location?

GPS accuracy varies from 5-50 meters in good conditions. The app shows your accuracy rating. If GPS is poor, you can manually enter the address.

Do my contacts need the app?

No! Contacts receive alerts via regular email and SMS. They don't need to install anything.

1SafeRE is a safety notification tool designed to help real estate professionals during property showings. The service provides check-in timers, location tracking, and emergency contact notifications.

2. Limitations and Disclaimers

THIS IS NOT AN EMERGENCY RESPONSE SERVICE. 1SafeRE does not contact emergency services (911, police, fire, medical) on your behalf. The service only notifies your designated emergency contacts.

Technology Limitations: The service depends on cellular/internet connectivity, GPS functionality, battery power, and third-party services. We cannot guarantee service availability, message delivery, or location accuracy. Alerts may be delayed or fail to send due to technical issues beyond our control.

Your Responsibility: You are solely responsible for your personal safety. This app is a supplementary tool only and should not replace standard safety protocols, judgment, or direct emergency services contact when needed.

3. Liability Waiver

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, 1SafeRE AND ITS OPERATORS ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INJURY, HARM, PROPERTY DAMAGE, OR DEATH RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OR INABILITY TO USE THIS SERVICE. YOU ASSUME ALL RISKS ASSOCIATED WITH USING THIS APPLICATION.

4. User Obligations

You agree to:
• Provide accurate emergency contact information
• Test the service before relying on it
• Maintain adequate phone battery and connectivity
• Not create false emergencies or misuse the SOS feature
• Inform your emergency contacts that they may receive alerts

5. Service Availability

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the service at any time without notice. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

6. Payment Terms

Pro subscriptions are billed monthly at $3.00 USD. You may cancel at any time. Refunds are not provided for partial months. Free trial accounts are limited to testing purposes only.

7. Privacy & Data

We collect location data, contact information, and usage data necessary to provide the service. Your data is stored securely but we cannot guarantee absolute security. Location data may be shared with emergency contacts during SOS alerts.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless 1SafeRE from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the service or violation of these terms.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of updated terms.
